The BLC is a lively and friendly language school situated in Plaza Castilla, in the north of Madrid. The BLC opened its doors in 1984, and quickly became an established English language learning centre. The school has grown to include the following departments:

General English classes in the school: we have seventeen classrooms in the centre, open from 08.00-22.00, catering to both adults and the younger learner.

Corporate English classes off site: the vast majority of our language teaching is to professionals in their own environment. We work with all sizes of businesses, from multinationals to the smaller business.

Teacher Education Department: we are one of the largest teacher training organisations on mainland Europe, offering Cambridge ESOL courses, CELTA & DELTA, all year round.

Spanish language department: we run both part-time and intensive courses all year round.

There are also small French and German language departments. All of our teachers and trainers are qualified and experienced in their respective fields and there is a team of administrative staff, ready to help out with any query.

The Plaza Castilla area will meet most of your everyday needs: plenty of cafes, restaurants, a newsagents', a stationer's, supermarkets (8' or so away), etc. (For serious night-life you'll need to go into the centre.)
